What a wedding to finish 2018 with! Just a few days after Christmas, and a few days before NY, Mon & Dylan got married and it was so great! I had photographed Monika’s twin sister earlier in the year- and so it was really fun to be able to see a lot of familiar faces.
I will hand over to Mon to tell you a bit about the wedding…
“The whole wedding experience has been so much more amazing than I could have ever have imagined, The whole day was just a dream come true! My favourite part was the ride on the wedding bus from Clissold House to Bistrotheque. It was the beginning of the partying and everyone was just in the best mood! My second favourite moment was watching my new husband’s reaction when I gave my speech.
I wanted my look to be a bit less mainstream, with a focus on independent designers and a touch of high street style. I live in London which is filled with so many amazing independent women designers (my sister-in-law Jessie Harris being one of them) so I wanted to utilise what was on my doorstep. My dress and jewellery were both made by London based independent designers who I know personally- and as someone who works in the creative industry myself, I loved supporting other women who are making a living in the creative field. I had a lot of help and support from Jessie in helping me put my look together, and of course making my amazing jewellery.
It took me forever to try and find a photographer that I loved, I always knew exactly what I wanted and I am very picky!! As soon as I found Ruth online I knew she was the only one who could photograph our wedding; Her style fitted my vision perfectly and so I emailed her before we even had a date set! “
Mon’s PEARL-TASTIC theme was created by the following suppliers:
Dress: Marina London | Jewellery: Jessie Harris London | Hair & Make-up: Sophie Higginson | Coat: Mango | Headband: Lele Sadoughi | Shoes: LK Bennett x Jenny Packham | Cake: Dunn’s bakery | Ceremony venue: Clissold House at Clissold Park | Reception venue: Bistrotheque
Oh- I also went to photograph the white party the night before…
